All About Me

I began my interest in teaching by graduating from Cal State Fullerton.  I received a Bachelors in Science with focus in Early Childhood Development and for fun a Bachelors in Arts with focus in Dance.  I got my teaching credential from Cal State Fullerton and went on to teaching in the classroom.  I decided I wasn't done and went back to school to get my Masters at Cal State Long Beach in Early Childhood Education.

This will be my 23rd year teaching.  I came from Oak Grove Elementary in Aliso Viejo and I have been with the Malcom Elementary family going on my third year.  I have taught both first, second and third grade. I am super excited about teaching a 3/4 combo this year. I enjoy every day in teaching your children and making learning fun, exciting, and definitely exploring the STEAM emphasis.  Your child will have a memorable time in our third grade class.

My family is important to me too.  My husbands' name is Todd and I have two boys ages 18 and 16.

My special interests are:  spending time with my family, going to the beach, walking, gardening, hummingbirds, collecting seahorse stuff and having fun!
We can do this!

HOMEWORK IS DAILY!

Malcom Students Work With G.R.I.T.

MARINERS NAVIGATING WITH G.R.I.T.
(Growth, Resilience, Integrity, and Tenacity)

Our theme for this year is Mariners Navigating with GRIT (Growth, Resilience, Integrity, and Tenacity).  Fostering a growth mindset enables students to view challenges as opportunities.  Strengthening one’s resilience encourages students to be flexible and adjust to the ever-changing world.  Cultivating personal integrity also increases a student’s self-confidence.  While, developing tenacity ensures a student’s ability to persevere when things get difficult.  As we navigate uncharted waters together, we will rely on our crewmates (students, staff, parents, and community partners) to inspire and encourage us along the way!
